Dry firing is the practice of simulating the discharge of a firearm without any live ammunition. Dryfiring can also be done utilizing our inert laser/infrared training platform such as a SIRT training pistols, and may also include the use of a target/feedback system, such as our "Smokeless Range" or LASR software.
There are many benefits to dry firing. Learning is compressed and therefore faster. It's easier to practice things like trigger control, without developing a "flinch", which is a pre-emptive reflex some beginners exhibit due to being unaccustomed to the trigger weight or anticipating a recoil. DryFire also allows shooters to practice fundamentals in locations where they couldn't practice with live ammo. Grip, draw stroke, sight picture/sight alignment, trigger control, reloads, troubleshooting malfunctions, and more can be trained during dry fire practice. These techniques allow us to conduct a safe, effective and economical form of training to improve your shooting skills.
